Legally Married?

So three years ago, on April 1st, 2008, Josh and decided that since we were both off from work we would go ahead and get started on our marriage paperwork since we heard that it was a long process. We drove around practically all over the island, getting papers signed and everything. We visited a translator, he gave us some papers and told us to take it to the city office and then bring it back to him. We did all of this, not thinking anything of it and at the end of the day, the translator told us "Congratulations, you're married." Josh and I were both stunned and a bit confused. But we went with it and now have the joy of telling people that we were legally married on April Fool's. Adding to our day three years ago, my parents were not here and so we emailed and it went a little something like this: "Josh and I got married...Hahaha! April Fool's! But seriously...we got married. Legally married."
