After I came up with the idea of including fashion on my blog, my friend Jessica came up with this bright idea to have me help her with shopping for clothes and creating cute outfits. She's a big believer in not mixing black with brown and although that's not included in this post, it's surely something that we will work on. So, a couple weekends ago we went shopping out in town. As some of you might know, it's a little hard to shop for clothes if you're bigger than a size 2 out here. BUT I'm here to tell you, that if you're an average American, you CAN find cute clothes out in town. One place to shop at is Uniqlo. It's a chain that started out here in Japan and has expanded to some places in the US. The closest thing that I can compare it to would be Gap. Our first mission was to find a nautical look suitable for work. This is what we ended up with.
Everything is from Uniqlo except for Jessica's jeans. You can't really tell from these pictures, but the tank top is cream colored with blue polkadots. We then paired it with a striped cardigan suit top and completed the outfit with a belt. This can work with jeans for a casual Friday or with camel colored or khaki pants for a different work day of the week.
I'm pleased to say that Jessica received a lot of compliments for this outfit. Mission one complete. Our next mission is with an order from Express. Stay tuned for that blog post coming soon!
XOXO
Happy Wednesday!

I love the outfit, but I think if the belt was red it would work even better. Keep up the good work!
Yes! I think that would've been a great idea too! But the store we were at did not have a red belt =(
