Testing the waters

So, I've decided to start persuing my dreams of becoming a photographer. Of course I'm keeping my daytime job just in case financial stability becomes an issue. I hate stress that's brought on by finances. But anyway, I've been looking at many different photographer's websites and have decided that I can, with a bit of trial and error, become a photographer. Right now I'm still in the process of buying equipment like a camera bag and different lenses, but I should be up for a photo shoot within the next month. I don't think I'll charge anyone until I know for sure that I'm up-to-par...up-to-par with what you say? I guess my own standards. I'm one of those who believes that we are our own worst critic.
